This handsome Norwegian Fjord, officially named Carl but affectionately known as C.J., brings a touch of ancient history and a whole lot of heart to the HWH herd. As a member of one of the world’s oldest breeds, he carries the legacy of the strong, agile workhorses that once roamed the mountain farms of Norway. Don't let his compact size fool you; C.J. is a powerful, versatile athlete who proves that great things truly do come in small packages.

C.J. is a standout in the arena, known for his steady temperament and sure-footed nature. Thanks to his breed’s trademark strength and work ethic, he:

Navigates lessons with agility and grace, making him a reliable partner for riders of all levels.
Showcases the classic Fjord standard, featuring a striking dun coat and a thick, iconic bi-colored mane.
Models unique "haircuts" with ease, often sporting fancy designs clipped into his mane by his friends at HWH to highlight his handsome features.

Life at HWH

Since joining the program, C.J. has become a cornerstone of the HWH community. He plays many roles, but his absolute favorite moments are those spent interacting with people. He is exceptionally kind and trustworthy, providing a safe and steady experience for every rider on his back. He is also a favorite among our volunteers, showing immense patience and enthusiasm during their scheduled lessons together.
