Anne Davis: Power of Red Hero
At this year’s Power of Red: A Celebration of Heroes, the American Red Cross Southwestern Pennsylvania Chapter honored our own Anne Davis, founder of Horses with Hope, as one of its 2025 Power of Red Heroes. The Power of Red celebration was held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Heinz History Center.
Anne’s story is one of vision, compassion, and resilience. Founded in 2007, Horses with Hope offers equine-assisted services to individuals with physical, emotional, and developmental challenges, using the power of the horse-human bond to heal, uplift, and empower. Under Anne’s leadership, the organization has become a sanctuary not only for its riders but also for veterans, trauma survivors, and youth facing adversity.
Anne embodies the spirit of the Red Cross mission: meeting people in moments of need with hope, strength, and care. Her work resonates far beyond the stable.
